My good friend Ernst Wiggo Sandbakk has started a new band given. "SuperCharger". God damn!! This was absolutely enormous. It was groovy like h... . If you are not fully charged after a concert with these two joy-spreaders, you should seek help. Great fun - and they show what music means. A happy pill of a band, with an impressive energy and joy of playing. If you see a poster with SuperCharger: Run and buy! For everydays and parties - SuperCharger is the best!

Oh my goodness what a duo! It's hard not to be fascinated by the broad spectrum of New Orleans music with boogie woogie, ragtime and jazz. It's true that you can eat it up too, but not when it's done as playfully and inspiredly as the SuperCharger Duo does. Then it's life-affirming music played by extremely talented musicians - who even encourage people to dance in the aisle ... between the pews.

This was master class, and simply so completely entertaining that we can't help but say - thank you very much for being who you were. When you mix virtuosity with joy of playing, you get the duo SuperCharger Duo, two men who are able to entertain, impress and fill the audience with the kind of musical good feeling you are always looking for. We simply didn't want to go home, we just wanted to listen and listen and listen and listen.

A relatively new star in the blue sky of Trøndelag is the duo SuperCharger Duo consisting of drummer Ernst Wiggo Sandbakk and pianist Eirik S. Tveten. This means that a well-grown man and a young talent have joined forces in a whirlwind of New Orleans-inspired boogie woogie, jazz, ragtime and blues, and that you just have to surrender to this duo's achievements on their respective instruments. They have mostly played in jazz clubs, but the recommendations go far beyond jazz clubs. They can play anywhere, for anyone and anytime. Standing ovations speak for themselves. And rarely have we seen the audience with wider grins during a concert.

What a vitamin injection for many of us who attended the jazz club in Narvik. Two fantastic musicians lavish themselves with very beautiful and historically accurate performances of a beautiful repertoire. These guys have done a lot of research to make it sound authentic, and they succeed to the point. But their "whole package", presentation, offering themselves, humor, inclusion of the audience, no strings attached, - yes, everything is a liberating experience. I can truly recommend this duo to anyone, anytime and anywhere. And rightly so, I got my batteries recharged.

Nidaros Blues had a visit from SuperCharger Duo at the festival, and talk about inner tiers. Without any fuss or fuss, equipped only with drums, piano and their own talent, they took the audience by storm. Perhaps not many knew what to expect beforehand, and when the concert was over, perhaps even more did not know what they were hit with. It swung enormously, there was musicality and joy. Should be on the curriculum at any blues and jazz festival, or really any genre. I especially encourage our colleagues in blues clubs and blues festivals to book these guys. It is hard to get closer to New Orleans.

When both musicians have an extremely good and precise technique on their respective instruments, the result is bound to be successful. SuperCharger Duo is sure to put you in a good mood, but some listeners may be bothered a bit by so-called restless feet when things are at their worst. It's great that the duo sometimes also has room for lovely calm ballads like "Skylark" in between the uptempo songs. Tired feet need a break before the next uptempo song comes on!
Playful playing, humor and joy of playing are an excellent recipe for a good jazz weekend! We experience here that only two strong instrumentalists capture the audience and have them in the palm of their hand. It is a rather spartan starting point, but you do not miss additional bass/guitar accompaniment, or all kinds of windy wind instruments around your ears. SuperCharger Duo stands super steady on its 2 x 2 swinging feet!

Wonderful visit to Fosnavåg Concert Hall last weekend by fantastic musicians! Outstanding musicianship, and a joy to play in a special class! If you have the opportunity, you must catch one of their concerts. They are on tour throughout the spring.
